During my junior year, Marlatt Hall has been quite
an experience for me. As a Resident Assistant for 2nd Floor, my partner and I are a resource
and mentor for approximately 80 men. As a staff member within the building, I have
attended several
Hall Governing Board meeetings and activites and encouraged residents to get involved. After noticing
quite a few residents playing Nintendo 64 and other gaming units, I organized a James Bond
tournament with quite a few residents competing. Known for its
Engineering and Computer students, I have been told that even though I didn't live in Marlatt for two
previous years, that I was a Marlation at Heart because of my computer experience and knowledge. In fact,
one of the ways that I got to know my residents was by fixing their computer and providing a little
technical support when asked.
